Who this covers
This policy covers the Neophema Genetic Calculator (this website), a free breeding-outcome tool built and operated by Fida Habib of Gauripur Aviaries, Dhaka, Bangladesh.
What we collect
The calculator itself runs entirely in your browser. The parent genotypes you select, and the offspring odds it computes, are never sent to or stored on any server — closing the tab clears them completely.
We use Vercel Web Analytics, a cookie-free analytics service run by our hosting provider, to see aggregate numbers like visits, page views, approximate country, device type, and referring site. This data is anonymized and cannot be tied back to a specific visitor.
Your light/dark theme choice is saved using your browser's local storage only — it stays on your device and is never transmitted anywhere.
Cookies
This site does not currently set cookies. Vercel Web Analytics is cookieless by design.
We do not sell your data
We have never sold, rented, or traded visitor data, and we don't have any to sell — the anonymized analytics described above is aggregate traffic data, not a list of identifiable people.
Where data is processed
This site is hosted on Vercel's global infrastructure, which may process analytics data on servers outside your own country, including in the United States. By using this site, you understand your data may be processed in a country with different data-protection laws than your own.
Third-party services
A few pieces of this site are delivered by outside providers, each governed by their own privacy policy:
- Vercel — hosting and the analytics described above.
- Google Fonts (Cinzel, Montserrat) — loaded directly from Google's servers, which may log your IP address as part of serving the font files.
- Links to external references (source documents, the Neophema Groep Facebook group) on our References & Credit page — once you follow one, that destination's own policy applies.
Advertising
We do not currently show any advertising on this site. If that changes in the future, this policy will be updated first to disclose exactly what's collected, how to opt out, and a consent option will be added for visitors in the EU/UK as required by law.
Children's privacy
This site is a genetics reference tool for bird breeders and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
